.:.Sometimes fate can't stop meddling.:.
Sometimes i walk in the rain
to wash away all the pain;
Sometimes i walk under the sun-streak sky
to remember the fun we had under the sun;
Sometimes i stroll under the twilight sky
recounting those little nothings you once said
.:.Sometimes love can't stop growing.:.
Laziness reigns in me! I've been pigging for at least 14 hours today! Three cheers! It's been AGES since i've AMPLE sleep! Happy happy happy!
Just a quick review about events that took place earlier this week. It's been a rather hectic week. Don't get me wrong. I wasnt AT ALL busy with school work, I was busy ENJOYING myself, so to speak.
The week started off with a tea appreciation session at St. James - Dragonfly. Not that it TOTALLY impressed me, but nevertheless, the trip earned me some experience for a PIG like me. Yes, i've no NIGHT LIFE! Mr Kwek was rather pissed when no one was listening to the invited PA speakers during the session. HA! It's just expected of NYJC students. We were having small conversations among ourselves. Quoted from Tyson's blog, he sent a message that read 'WHO AM I' to the speaker. HAAHAHHAA. *laughs* A dinner and shopping trip over at vivocity. It took US great DISTANCE, and TIME to hunt for MY outfit for ZOUK the following night.
So, now, it's ZOUK. I didnt expect that there were SO MANY FREAKING PEOPLE! CK nice guy gave me a complimentary entrance ticket =) Poor LALA gotta pay $20! *grins* Anyhow, we cut queue to enter, not that we aren't guilty, but heck, the queue was THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT long! The fashion parade by Singtel bluhbluh young fashion designing was great! Some of the collections were beautiful! Party started at aroung 11pm, and wow, the dance floor was really packed! And i mean it, IT WAS PACKED! After much effort, we managed to SQUEEZEE right in. Mind you, we were a dancefloor of sardines! RAHHS!! There were this bunch of YOUNG KIDDOS (i wonder how they got in), who constantly STEPPED on lala's and my shoe!! My poor toe!
The guys seemed to have fun. For me, I felt that clubbing wasnt my kind of life. Yes, goodbye to any events any time soon! LOL. Won't be going to DXO. OHOH! I saw kansie, woohoo, her figure is nicee. She wore some kind of tankini top with miniskirt. HAHA.
Dance with DT n Shouyi last afternoon was great fun! We had this slow journey around the school which brought much zealous and curious stares from NYJCians. That was embarassing! Nevertheless, it provided us an opportunity to observe things that we would never in our JC school life observe. RAHH, for the first time, i realised how FAST and BUSY NYJC students are. They walk so quickly, relative to the speed that dansez-le was walking. RAHHH.
Alright, conference tonight with pehpeh and the girls. It gonna be fun!
Now, back to my homework!
This is utterly disappointing.
To think that we treated them with respect. They're just treating us like, don't mind me saying, DIRT. Seriously, they ought to reflect upon themselves. What's the point of having an interview when no nominees were shortlisted? What's the point of having the interview (and yes, wasting our precious time) when everyone HAVE TO go up there and say a 2 minute speech. Doesn't the interview defeat the purpose? Oh man, you guys really have no logic. Damn u guys.
Don't come shouting 'FARKING ...." at us alright. We're not to be trifled with, you hear me?! So what if we decided not to utilise the full 2 minutes, so what if all of us didn't prepare our speeches, so what if we just spoke a few sentences. What the crap. You told us that YOUR BATCH made some impromtu speech. Must we follow your suit? Please, use your brain, we don't have to follow TRADITION.
Shuhua and Shuhui had a lashing out session and that idiotic bimbo used the FUCK word at us. You go girl, Shuhua! Seriously, it's just so degrading! Ouch, I feel so sad for you, a JUNIOR COLLEGE student using such vulgarity for such trival matters. Oh, I forgot, you've got a history of an ah lian. Please pardon me! Footnote: If you want to fark, go geylang. I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms =)
Anyway, eventually, we made our speech RELUCTANTLY, and we utilised our 2 MINTUES condeming THEIR SYSTEM(S x 10000) right in their bloody face. Boy, that was satisfying! I want to run for the exco because "I WANT TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE SYSTEM". Yes, that's what shuhua and I said. Heh!
I just can't wait for monday to arrive. I'm so gonna see the look on THEIR faces!! I cant wait to see the words REMORSE AND GUILT written all over their face. HEH! I just can't stand it. Just because of this simple ELECTIONS, many J1s teared because of their INEFFICIENT, DUMB, USELESS, and RIGID handling of this campaign. RAHHSS. That reminds me, I almost blowed my top when shuhui warned shuhua "DONT YOU DARE CRY!" What the hell? Do you want to control everything so much so that you wan to control her glands? RAHHS.
Anger aside, I'm beginning to feel the stress now. I've so many commitments!!! OCIP, SDP, DANCE. HELP! I can hardly breathe!
GP exam was today. Chose the question on HOMEWORK. Well, I just have this nagging feeling that i wouldnt score well. Sigh, it's over. No point mulling over it.
Alright, see ya.
This is terrible, terrible, terrible.
I just don't get it. What's with their mentality. Great!
It was supposed to begin at 5.15pm PROMTLY. However, we drew lots only at 5.30pm, and it only started at 5.45pm. Being behind schedule was fine, at least for the beginning. Then, our turns weren't in the order of the number we picked. Now, here's the irony, if you dont follow the number on the lots, why in the world did u ask us to pick one? DUMB ASSES. Use your brain, you have a body and size of a 18 yr old, but mindset and maturity of a 10 yr old kid!
Besides, the way they handle things put me off, oh no, correction, ALL OF US! Their efficiency is of such low level that any other secondary school CCA group could handle. Call yourselves JC students, and to think that you've COMPLETED your project work. Total lack of organisation and execution. Can you imagine that a simple exco interview is made into some major crap shit. I've only one sentence to say - you're making a MOUNTAIN out of a tiny weeny insignificant MOLEHILL! Come on, i'm sure you could do better than that...
I just don't get it. Why must they get themselves all so stressed out just because of the INTERVIEW. Oh please, you've sth else better to do, and so do we. Just cut all these crap, hand over your duty, and just bloody concentrate on your A lvls. It's not as if all of you are geniuses, securing STRAIGHT As. Just know where u stand alright. I'm being crude, just forgive me, this is reality!
As the interview carried on, my blood level boiled HIGHER. The questions they ask are IRRELEVENT, STUPID, and extremely CONFRONTING. I've never seen an interview carried out in this manner. Oh man, you call this professionalism? Oh fark, that's NOTHING!
I've seriously lost interest in running for the exco. Whether if I'm in or not, it doesnt really matter anymore. If you think that me running for exco is for SGC, you're totally wrong. Why should I run for exco in order to obtain a nice SGC? SDP and OCIP are sufficient. I, or rather WE, just want to be in the exco to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, and CHANGE THE BLOODY DANCE SYSTEM! I can't imagine that there's a rigid system to everything! Bureaucracy, redtape, black and white, management! Even buying a leotard needs a system. oh farking please. In today's day and age, we gotta be FLEXIBLE. We're dancers - not only do we need physical flexibility, we need to be flexible and versatile up there, in your thinking. ARGH!!! I can't stand it!
Enough of ranting, just reflect alright. Hmm, as if you guys will read this. Oh well...
It's nice to be home early once in awhile. Unlike any other day of the week, Tuesdays are the best. Lessons end officially at 2.30pm and we'll be up in the library discussing our PW.
It was a pleasant surprise to find my name on the OCIP namelist. Desmond, Daphne, and I got through the interview! 3 cheers! Chiang Rai, here we come! Amid all these, I'm well aware that there'll be plenty of preparations to do for this trip. I got to be prepared for all the meetings that will be held on Saturdays. Oh man, where will my Saturday sleep in session go to then?
Suddenly, I feel that 24hours a day isn't enough. Angela's right, we need 48 hours a day! 24 hours' just too short! Scholar Development Programme has been actively involving me in whatever activities they haf in mine. Jingyi's equally busy, cuz we've been selected for the same activities. LTC will be coming up in early July - Laborador Campsite, with some pre camp breifing earlier.
As part of SDP, I've gotta attend some Temasek Seminar this coming friday. It's regarding this Tagline competition that is organised by MINDEF annually. Changi Navel Base site visit will be on Friday, and sigh, i'll miss the 2nd half of the GP talk, which i'm highly interested in! Forensic science. RAHHS. Btw, this tagline tingy lasts all the way till july!!! HELP.
I know, my June vacations are burnt. How in the world will I be able to handle so many tings?? Project work, OCIP preparation, Tagline competition, Dance training, and most impotantly, MUGGING for mid year!! With this hectic schdule, there goes my shopping trips. =(
Hmm, St James power station on Monday. I hope it'll be fun. But it's rather crinky to find out that we're going to a club in the AFTERNOON. Queer isnt it? I'm still contemplating if I should party at Zouk on the 29th, along with Angela. Here's the catch: though school has closed for the term, i'll be having econs extra lesson on the 30th, 9am. How the hell could I have enuff slp?
Oh well.
Just as I regained my confidence, I've lost it once again.
Maths lecture test - 22/25 (pat on the back)
Chinese test - 27/50 (i passed! - finally)
and then....
Econs class test - SCREWED
end of story
GP mid year will be this coming Saturday. I'm not prepared, i'm not confident, i'm not even sure if i'll be able to handle it! Sigh. 20/50? That's crap, never in my life have I scored such a low grade for my ENGLISH!
This is not good; this is demoralising.
Sigh. Enlighten me, someone!
Yesterday's performance at NAFA threatre marks the graduatation of the J2 dancers from DT's dance curriculum. So, that was their last performance. The 3 of us! J1 SYF team! Feifei, Shuhua, Amanda, ChengQi, YuZhen, Serene Top (in dance jacket): AEP, Xiao bu dian, me Bottom (dance costume): Fei jie, Aman, Sok Yups, that's me. And oh, that's sok's injured toe! HAHAHAHAA. Tyson! Don't emo too much!!! HAHAHAA. Raymond - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That's all, gotta hit my notes. My, tell me that this isn't the O level period! HAHAHAHA. mugging, studying, slping, mugging studying, slping. HELPPP!!
Dance; shouldnt it be filled with passion?
School work; isn't it an obligation?
Tests; isn't it a part of school life?
The answer to the questions above is a resounding YES.
The day began early with dance - and still dance. We met Ms Tang outside the staffroom regarding you-know-what. What was supposed to be a session with us speaking, turned out to be Ms Tang who was speaking. She touched on the situation from her point of view, the schools, ya-da ya-da, you get the picture.
GP lesson didn't go on too well. As expected, GP essay was a total flop. Words such as 'irrelevent', 'elaborate', 'out of point' were nicely calligraphed all over my paper. Count myself lucky that I dont have a big fat OUT OF POINT emblazoned over my paper. HAHA. Okay, things are getting a little dramatic over here.
Dance practice was relatively sane - for once ever since the intensive training for SYF. We did self-evaluation on our personal qualities and our desired position in the exco. Just as expected. Hmm, I guess the only thing that we can do now is to CONVINCE both the current exco and J1s that we are up to the mark. Let's all hope for the best. We shall have FAIR and EQUAL oppotunities to this matter. YUPS!
Last performance for our SYF piece tomorrow night at NAFA Lee Foundation threatre. Do come down and support us. Door sales are going for $15 for adults and $12 for students. For more info, turn to LIFE section of the straits time, and vola, an article regarding DANCE ON THE MOVE will be right before your very eyes. Oh, except that the school featured was Juying sec. Let's face the reality, they obtained a GOLD.
Alright, i shall turn in down. I'm gonna have a NICE sleep!
Tag: I'm feeling the stress; a demand that is so much more.
Let's all just Dance; as though no one's watching.
Physics test - it's screwed! I just wish for the best. It's such a basic test, yet I cant get it right. Man. I need serious mugging and practice, and most importantly, time to carry out my mugging.
Below are my views on dance. Read at your own risk. This is a disclaimer, and you will not hold me liable for any unhappiness caused.
We've been talking quite abit with mr tan regarding the change of hands of the dansez-le. He commented that the 6 of us should form the exc0. We heeded his advice. The current exco was SUPPOSED to hold an interview with us (together with the rest of the J1s) regarding the elections.
We took matters in our own hands. We KINDLY approached the current exco to voice our concerns (6 of us will know). By doing so, we're merely showing due respect to their current status as well as to their decisions. We could feel tension rising soon after we've made our decisions known. Thanks to our sharp sense of happenings around the school, we noticed the current exco having a rather serious meeting among themselves - and yes, we gather that it's regarding us. oh crap. Anyway, that's besides the point.
When the rest of the J1s received a message regarding the venue for their 'interview', we received a TOTALLY DIFFERENT set of message, which stated that interview for us was CANCELLED. And yes, we've requested against having the interview.
Is that to mean that they're considering about whether we should be in the exco? Is it to mean that they find us too domineering? Does it mean that we dont have to rights to express our views? I'm really not sure. There seems to be a grey area between the current exco and us. We've clearly stated our rationale behind our decision (as well as mr tan's), but it seems like we're getting signs of disapproval. We've came to a consensus, whatever the outcome, whatever their decison may be, whatever their rationale behind their decisions, the 6 of us will be together. If we're to be in the exco, we shall remain as 6. It's not that we're not giving the other J1s a chance, but we've proposed to the current exco that some of them will be part of the exco as well. Whether they take our suggestions into account, that's another case. On hindsight, should we be ostracised and blacklisted, so be it, we'll be glad being members of the dansez-le - bottom line, at least we'll get to stay together as one.
No one can deny the fact that no one system is ever perfect. Each and everyone of us will have our flaws and shortcomings. We're determined to bring dansez-le to greater heights. We're tired of being just viewed as a CCA, a CCA that obtained a mere SILVER award for the SYF.
Friday morning (tml), we'll be speaking to Ms Tang. We'll be speaking to her democratically, we'll be speaking our minds. Fret not, we'll fight for what we tink is right. Sometimes I just feel that there isnt any proper outlet to voice our suggestions.
No matter what, we'll remain as one. We'll include the other J1s, we'll form a team much stronger, be it emotionally, physically, mentality, disciplinary. You name it.
This is the end of my ranting session. See yas!
It has been awhile since I've last updated. As always, school, and always school.
Don't get me wrong, school ain't boring. I enjoy my JC life, but the workload's just eating up my free time.
Tests. Tutorials. Tests. Tutorials.
That's all everyone could say. That's the life I've been revolving around.
Sixteen - that was the number for the day.
A mere sixteen for my chemistry lecture test (out of 30). WHAT?!? My dearest COPYCAT scored a whopping 20/30 for his chemistry, and yes, he copied mine. Mister Goh Chin Hong, I hope you've learnt your lesson, considering the fact that Angela 'tattooed' your gravest sin onto your arm =). Muahahaha!
Depression overcame me for the rest of the day. A mere 16.
I was pretty much lugubrious until Ms Hazel perked me up with a bar of Cadbury chocolates. That was my reward for another encounter with the digits 1 and 6 on paper for the day. Alright, 16/20 for economics. I should be glad.
As much as we feel like engaging in shopping, Terence and I lurked around Bugis junction aimlessly while waiting for lala. We did, however, spend some time over at the National Library, and the fruit of our labour, we found some nice study area.
Our focus was soon at Orchard. We shopped (no, its lala). Ter's friend joined us soon after their Kbox session. They're nice people though. Yupps.
I do need serious mugging. I do need serious concentration. I do need to perservere. I do need.... The list is not exhaustive.
Dance chalet, it'll be tomorrow. Do not be surprised seeing the 6 of us mugging into the night. Yes, say that we've no life, say that we're bookworm, say that we're moodspoilers, but we've got left no NO CHOICE at all. In my case, i'll be having CHEM SPA on wednesday, and PHYSICS lecture test on thurs, covering ALL chapters taught thus far. GOD, SAVE ME!
Now, all I need is some serious snoozing. I'll see you again soon, hopefully.
Oh! I think my GP teahcer is abit cranky. HAHAHAHA.
In the essay task requirement info sheet, there's this warning statement: Tardiness will be scorned. Slipshod work will be rejected. Skivers will be ostracised. And Plagiarists will be prosecuted.
HAHAHAHA!! Just these 2 lines and you can find so many vocab. Tsktsktsktsk. We were laughing at the warning instead of heeding the warning. LOL.
Ohoh! Another one.
"Don't be a parrot. I'll know."
Rahhs, wad a teacher. LOL!!!
It's really taxing! It's really ain't easy!
Okay, I shall update about my beautiful grades.
(1) Chinese compre test - 17/35 (give mi that bloody 1/2 mark)
(2) Chinese compo test - 14.5/30 (oh man, 1/2 mark again - it was 18.5 - 4)
(3) Physics surprise test - 7/20 (okay, it wont be a surprise test without surprising grades)
To sum up, I havent been passing any test. LOL. Chinese Chinese Chinese, I tink i'll be freaking dead!!
Anyway, meet the parents dialogue session was a last night. Kwek Kwek talked about promotional criteria. At least an E grade for 2 H2s, and 1 H1 (excluding chinese). Okay, it should be managable! I still wan my As. Rahhss. Okay, no more slacking, more mugging!
Went for OCIP interview. Well, it was a last minute decision and the teacher asked me for the interview. Dap was supposed to be interviewed along together with Rena and Maygee, but they were sick. So ya, accoompanied dap in, which resulted in me being interviewed as well. LOL. I missed all 3 briefings, mind you. HAHAHAHA.
My weekends are BURNT! *smell smoke?*
(1) Maths tutorial - 6a, 6b
(2) Physics forces - I doubt i'll be doing it
(3) GP group essay - Homosexuality
(4) GPP first draft - HELP!
(5) TESTS! - Maths (thurs) Phy (thurs) Chi (tues) GP (wed)
And lastly, I HOPE I PASS MY CHEM AND ECONS TESTS, OTHERWISE, I'M SCREWED!
